“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
Jesus meant for those words to go far beyond the moment that he said them and ever since, His laborers in His church have been working to spread his message of immeasurable mercy and grace across the globe. At Mt. Lebanon, we get to be a part of that. For ten weeks during the summer, we get to serve Christ, serve campers, and serve each other. It’s how we worship our Creator and we’re looking for more people who want to be a part of the Mt. Lebanon family and worship with us.
What We Do
Every summer kids from across the Texas and beyond come to Mt. Lebanon to have fun and hear about the gospel. They will sign up with their churches and their churches will provide the adults that stay in the cabin with the campers. We believe in this model of camping because it allows the campers to continue building, or create for the first time, relationships with people that will be able to keep discipling them once camp is over. As a Mt. Lebanon Summer Staffer, you will be able to help facilitate that relationship by leading their recreation, serving them meals, and doing whatever else is necessary to allow them to focus on what’s most important.
Daily summer staff jobs may include:
- Leading campers through the low or high ropes course
- Leading recreation for campers
- Serving meals and cleaning buildings
- Leading devotions and bible studies
- Assisting the Media Team
- Outdoor and grounds maintenance
- Life-guarding and pool maintenance
How We Do It
Each Mt. Lebanon staffer has three different rotating assignments every week: a recreation assignment, a dining hall assignment, and a Friday cleaning assignment. This means that in a given day you could send a kid down a zip line, put food on their plate, and then mop up after them. But more than that, we want to speak the truth of Christ in everything we do. We want them to hear how that game of dodgeball relates to their walk with Christ. We want them to see the joy you have in being able to serve them a meal. And we want them to know how much we love them by all the ways we serve them while they are here.
Why We Do It
Simply put, we have been greatly blessed by the saving love of Jesus Christ. We believe that love cannot terminate on us; it has to be spread to others. So we love people. We serve them and tell them about this great hope we have. And in blessing others, we become even more blessed ourselves. And as you pour love into others, others will pour love into you. Lifelong relationships form among our staff every summer because it is such a unique environment where we live together, work together, play together, and unquestionably serve together. But ultimately, we labor at camp to bring eternal glory to the one who saved us and is actively reaping a harvest of souls for himself.

Our Support Staff is a small group of individuals that will not live on the campus like our summer staff will. This unit will consist of two different groups: Lifeguard staff and General Support Staff. Lifeguard staff will complete an American Red Cross lifeguarding course and their primary role will be lifeguarding at our pools. General support staff will serve in the kitchen or one of our concession areas.
